The Port of Benalmadena, which is at the extreme eastern end of the resort, bordering Torremolinos, has been described as "the best marina in the world". Whilst this is a disputable claim it certainly is modern, attractive and has an unrivalled ambience. There are over 1000 berths and 200 shops, bars, restaurants, plus a new shopping centre. The architecture has Andalucian, Arabian and Indian influences. It is an attractive place to visit both during the day and at night.and at night. |
Fifteen minutes along the coast road towards Marbella brings you to the little port of Cabopino.Second only to Puerto Banus for luxury yachts moored along side the harbour walls, Cabopino is well worth a visit. A good range of restaurants and bars can be found here along with boat trips to see dolphins, and to go deep sea fishing. There is also the excellent La Siesta and Cabopino Golf courses near by. In the summer, the Plaza Santa Monica hosts traditional flamenco dancing three evenings per week. |
